They aimed for the Moon...

... and they landed among the stars. I want to congratulate Germany for making it to the semi-finals in the World Cup this year. Germany were not one of the favorites since they were a very young team. Michael Ballack, teh team captain was out with an ankle injury, so Peter Lahm had to step in. Most of the team had no World Cup team whatsoever save for Bastian Schweinsteiger, Peter Lahm, Lucas Podolski and Miroslav Klose. But they totally exceeded expectations, especially Thomas Muller, who, at only the age of twenty scored four goals for his nation. A slap across the face for those who were supporting the big teams like Argentina, England, Italy, France and Brazil. I still feel sweet revenge when I think of that. Perhaps it was because Thomas wasn't playing against Spain that they lost. The magic just wasn't there. But I won't say that Spain are a rotten team. Germany are too good to be beaten by a rotten team. It is an honor to play against the world's best football team, and even if we lost, we didn't loose badly. Germany have gained experience and maturity during this World Cup. And also kudos to Joachim Loew, the Germany coach who lead Germany so far. Next World Cup, Germany will be a force to reckon with. Euro 2010 will show the world how Germany football has improved. Germany no longer only defend. They attack like pro's, though not yet with Spain's level of style and skill, they are near and will surpass given time! Therefore I conclude that World Cup 2010 has been a fruitful campaign for the Germans, and come what may, GERMANY STILL ROCK!!!!!

P.S: In honor of Germany's semi finale finish, I have quit Facebook and shall not return until after PMR.

No Regrets,
