... and they landed among the stars. I want to congratulate Germany for making it to the semi-finals in the World Cup this year. Germany were not one of the favorites since they were a very young team. Michael Ballack, teh team captain was out with an ankle injury, so Peter Lahm had to step in. Most of the team had no World Cup team whatsoever save for Bastian Schweinsteiger, Peter Lahm, Lucas Podolski and Miroslav Klose. But they totally exceeded expectations, especially Thomas Muller, who, at only the age of twenty scored four goals for his nation. A slap across the face for those who were supporting the big teams like Argentina, England, Italy, France and Brazil. I still feel sweet revenge when I think of that. Perhaps it was because Thomas wasn't playing against Spain that they lost. The magic just wasn't there. But I won't say that Spain are a rotten team. Germany are too good to be beaten by a rotten team. It is an honor to play against the world's best football team, and even if we lost, we didn't loose badly. Germany have gained experience and maturity during this World Cup. And also kudos to Joachim Loew, the Germany coach who lead Germany so far. Next World Cup, Germany will be a force to reckon with. Euro 2010 will show the world how Germany football has improved. Germany no longer only defend. They attack like pro's, though not yet with Spain's level of style and skill, they are near and will surpass given time! Therefore I conclude that World Cup 2010 has been a fruitful campaign for the Germans, and come what may, GERMANY STILL ROCK!!!!!
P.S: In honor of Germany's semi finale finish, I have quit Facebook and shall not return until after PMR.
No Regrets,

Bingo
Today I skipped CF and went to Zhi Xin's house with Shepard to study Sejarah. Half way through we decided to play another game. It was like Mastermind, only it was called Bingo and was played on the computer. We spent the better part of our day there trying to figure out four numbers. I wonder what is so interesting about it, guessing what the numbers were. Tomorrow is report card day and either one of my parents is going. I really wander what reaction I am going to get for my marks. I myself admit I haven't done my best, or even very well for the first term, and if I don't buck up, I'll never get my straight A's. I must say that at the rate I am going I am not going to be anywhere close. There is reason to rejoice this foot ball season, and I really hope Germany wins against Argentina. The odds are equal for both teams, I think. Despite Diego Maradona's less then cool tactics and drama filled pitch side acts, I really respect his team. Especially when Lionel Messi is there. But Germany have a record to be beaten. Three world cups and not a single world cup not in the last eight since 19something, I really feel that Germany has what it takes to beat Argentina. While trashing them may be like building castles in the air, winning them is definitely a possibility.

World Cup 2010
I am no nutty fan of football, let me assure you. I don't get heart attacks over a lose by my favorite team. But to be sure, I am very interested in the matches that my favorite football team plays (though sadly, I hardly get to watch any of them T^T). So now the World Cup has come, a crazy sporting event that causes madness throughout the world... And I too, have been somewhat caught up in that madness. I, Jasmine Chow, declare my utmost loyalty to the team that I have been supporting since the age of 7...
GERMANY!!!!!
I wholeheartedly support you to win the World Cup once more, your opponents are like trash beneath your gold plated and diamond studded feet. They are no match for you, I declare! You shall sweep them away with a well aimed strike of your Golden Foot and clinch World Cup glory as has never before been seen in the world. You have started of to a fabulous start, putting the Australians 6 feet below the ground in your opening match, and now that you have begun, NO ONE can stop YOU!!!!
(Panting) Ok, maybe I am a little nutty, but that's about it. Lastly, I would like to say:
GERMANY FOR THE WORLD CUP!!!!!
